On-Site Camping

If you haven't been to the Mt. Ascutney Hillclimb before, the event takes place at the beautiful Mt. Ascutney State Park which is located at 1826 Back Mountain Road in Windsor, VT. As such, there's plenty of on-site camping available as SCCNH rents the entire State Park! There are 3-sided lean-to camp sites with fireplaces along with numerous camp sites and there are restrooms with coin operated hot showers on-site as well. The park is always immaculate and since we rent the entire park, it's always a great time cruising around the various camp sites in the evening visiting and sharing stories with everyone. Reservations for campsites and lean-tos should be made in advance by calling the Park Ranger at the Mt. Ascutney State Park at (802) 674-2060.

Volunteer Info

If you're not into strapping yourself into a racecar and flying up a mountain road to see how fast you can go, why not consider volunteering at the hillclimb? Volunteers are a vital part of every hillclimb - in fact, we can't hold an event without volunteers! As such, we provide all our hillclimb volunteers with complimentary lunches on both Saturday and Sunday and at the end of the day (each day!) we provide complimentary munchies and a variety of cold beverages as a way to say thank you. At the Mt. Ascutney Hillclimb, we always need volunteers at various corner (checkpoint) locations, assist with timing and scoring and help to prepare lunches.

Great view of the course

Thanks schnellgti12, May 2008: My 96' Impreza Brighton (1.8L 2dr AWD) on my fastest run up the hill. The camera is mounted inside an STI hood scoop for a nice view of the run.
